Boxers are high energy, charismatic dogs whose affection and desperate desire for activity make them a great fit for families who are active or for someone who is looking for a great motivational work out partner. However Boxers hyperactivity gives them a notorious reputation for getting into mischief. So it is extremely important that your Boxer gets a lot of exercise and mental stimulation, or they will find a way to do it themselves (which usually includes a pair of your favorite shoes). To go along with their bondless energy Boxers are highly social dogs, they love humans and relish any opportunity to play with other dogs, making them ideal dogs for daycare.
Overall Boxers are great companions who will fit into any family situation with or without children. They will require a lot of attention and care but will respond with endless love and affection. Boxers are also a highly trainable breed, but be prepared to spend a considerable amount of time reinforcing training, professional help is highly recommended. As with all breeds each Boxer will have his or her own personality and can vary greatly from my description. With that said Boxers will make a great addition to anyone who has the time and patients enjoy all the quarks of the Boxer.
